IIT Roorkee Ph.D Admission 2012-2013

Applications are invited for admission to the PhD Programme of the Institute in all disciplines of Engineering and Technology, Sciences, Architecture and Planning, Humanities and Social Sciences and Management
Admission to reserved category candidates will be done as per Govt of India norms
A good number of institute research assistantships are available
Preference will be given to graduates from IITs/IISc as per norms of the institute
How to apply: For admission to Ph.D programmes, candidates need to register and fill the application form online http://pgadm.iitr.ernet.in (website shall be open from 26th September, 2012)
The candidates are required to download bank challan form after finalization of application form simultaneously from the website http://pgadm.iitr.ernet.in and then deposit the requisite fee of Rs 200/- for General/OBC and Rs 100/- for SC/ST/PD category candidates in any branch of State Bank of India throughout the country on or before 26th October, 2012
Application Process: The application process will be assumed to be completed only when following documents (print out of filled on line application form downloaded from the website; IIT Roorkee bank challan copy; other necessary documents (if any); are sent to the Chairman, PG Admissions Office, Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee, Roorkee-247667, Uttarakhand, so as to reach on or before 02nd November, 2012
Separate applications be sent for separate departments/centres and for each department/centre separate fee will be required
Important Dates:
Last date for apply online and downloading filled application form: 26th October, 2012
Last date for depositing of fee: 26th October, 2012
Last date for receipt of completed applications forms at PG admission office, IIT Rookee: 02nd November, 2012
