Applications for admission to the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in the prescribed form are invited from the eligible candidates for the year 2012-2013
Applications for admission to the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in the prescribed form are invited from the eligible candidates for the year 2012-2013
Eligibility:
Any candidate who has obtained a post graduate degree from a recognized university including foreign candidates (sponsored by their embassies) and sponsored candidates securing not less than 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/Cat-I/Physically challenged candidates) at the post graduate degree shall be eligible to apply for the Ph.D degree programme
Merit List: The Govt sponsored foreign candidates, candidates who have cleared the UGCJRF/ UGC-CSIR-JRF/GATE/ GRE/NET/SLET (Karnataka)/M.Phil (admitted through an entrance test) shall be placed first in the consolidated merit list based on their percentage of marks secured by them at their qualifying examination

How To Apply:
Application Form: Application forms can be obtained from the Syndicate Bank, Karnatak University Campus, Dharwad-580003 on payment of Rs.500/- by cash
By sending of Rs 500/- plus Rs 35/- (postage) demand draft drawn in favour of the Finance Officer, Karnatak University, Dharwad along with self addressed envelope of size 10”x3” super scribed as application for admission to Ph.D programme should be submitted to the Director, Prasaranga, Karnatak University, Dharwad-580003
Candidates can download the admission form from the website www.kud.ac.in and submit the duly filled in form to the concerned Chairperson of the Dept along with demand draft of Rs 500/- drawn in favour of the Finance Officer, Karnatak University, Dharwad payable at Dharwad

Enclosures; demand draft of Rs 500/- towards entrance test fees (for unemployed SC/ST/Cat-1 Rs 250/-); attested copies of statement of marks of bachelor’s degree, master’s degree; an attested copy of the caste certificate in case of SC/ST/Cat-I/II-A/II-B/III-A/III-B candidates
Selected candidates have to submit migration certificate and eligibility certificate at the time of registration
Application Submission: Duly filled in application form along with the above enclosures demand draft for Rs 500/- in favour of Finance Officer Karnatak University, Dharwad payable at Dharwad, shall be submitted to the concerned chairperson of the department on or before 12th September, 2012
